a)    Decisions

Permission for Development granted in respect of:-

 

S/2008/1331/P     Bury Mount and the Mill Stream, Moat Lane, Towcester

                           Change of use from informal open space to public open space

                           including works to restore the mount and provide new

                           hard surfacing and stepped access to the summit.

 

S/2008/1145/P     Silverstone Harley Davidson, 170 Watling Street East, Towcester

                           Erection of 2 no. portacabins.

 

S/2008/1465/P     Long House, Caldecote, Towcester

                          Two storey and single storey rear extensions.

                           Extension adjacent to front entrance, including formation of new

                          Single storey rear extension

                          The committee agreed to support observations made by the       

                          Towcester & District Local History Society that no development

                          of the site should take place until the applicant has secured the   

                          implementation of a programme of archaeological work in     

                          accordance with a written scheme of investigation which has     

                          been submitted by the applicant and approved by the Local Planning Authority.

                           Conversion, repair and extension of existing stable to form a dwelling.

                           The committee agreed to support the application provided it

                           complies with the Local Planning Authority's policy on barn

                           conversions.

  

S/2008/1619/P     40 Hesketh Crescent, Towcester

                           Demolition of existing semi detached house and erection of a pair of

                           semi detached dwellings.

                           The committee made the following observations:-

                           i) Provision must be made for adequate off-road parking.

                           ii) Adequate protection must be provided to the occupier of

                           38 Hesketh Crescent .

                           The committee agreed to address it concerns regarding the potential of

                           this area for piecemeal developments to SNC separately.

                           Installation of 25 no. external air conditioner condensing units.

                           The committee made the following observations:-

                           i) The units should be screened so they are not visible from

                           any public space.

                           ii) Adequate protection must be provided to residents from

                           noise pollution.
