Northamptonshire County Council
Consultation on the Sustainable Communities Strategy
for Northamptonshire - 2008 / 2031
Committee
members had been informed of how to access the consultation document
online. Copies of the questionnaire form were distributed. The committee
discussed the merits of completing the anonymous questionnaire form.
It was agreed that the Clerk and Cllr Baker would complete the form
on behalf of the TC. Members were encouraged to submit individual
forms.
6.
FINANCE
a)
Internal Audit Report
The
TC internal audit was carried out on 19th March. A copy of the auditor's
report was forwarded to each committee member prior to the meeting.
The auditor concluded the report by stating he is satisfied that
the TC has effective systems of control in place. There were two
recommendations arising from the audit:-
1.
The TC has adopted the new Model Code of Conduct. This
should be
formally incorporated into the Standing Orders.
2.
The TC needs to update its Asset Register to include
the new play equipment
at Sandyhome Road .
On
behalf of the committee, Cllr Lofts asked for thanks to be recorded
to the Clerk for achieving a positive internal audit report.
b)
Cheques Issued
A
copy of the Cheques Issued List (cheque numbers 008620 to 008661)
was forwarded to each committee member. Most items were ongoing,
the following cheque numbers being of note:-

payable to the Town Council by sponsor, John White

/ £55.00 to L. Heritage – re office holiday cover

/ £50.00 to Edge Design – re course fees for finance package

Ball. Monies have been reimbursed to the TC by Cllr Baker.

Proposal
Cllr
Lofts proposed that the Cheques Issued List be signed by the Chairman
and R.F.O; seconded by Cllr Baker, All in favour.
