2021 Best Kept Garden Competition Winner - John & Ange Ager of Haydock Close won first prize for their sustainable garden in the Furlongs Estate.
Best Kept Garden Competition 2021 is now closed
Clearly, many people have been taking advantage of lockdowns to work in their gardens as we received a bumper crop of entries into this year's Best Kept Garden Competition. Towcester Town Mayor, Cllr Damian Reynolds, visited all the gardens entered over several days and had the unenviable task of picking first, second and third places.
- First place went to John & Ange Ager of Haydock Close on the Furlongs estate. The Mayor was impressed that they had created their garden from scratch in a relatively short period of time and had taken a sustainable approach to their design.
- Matt Baker of Irvine Drive on the Shires wowed the Mayor with his colourful and abundant container garden.
- Third place went to Jayne Odey of Kensington Close, stating that she has learned so much about gardening while on furlough.
The winners were each presented with a certificate and garden centre vouchers.
Visit the Town Mayor's Facebook page or the October 2021 issue of the Towcester Town Crier to see photos of all the winning gardens.
Thank you to everyone who took part – you should be really proud of your gardens, and it is a delight to see the town's gardens growing and blooming.
If you would like to enter the Best Kept Garden Competition 2022, the entry form will be available from April 2022 here and in the Town Crier.
