Keep Towcester Tidy
Volunteers are sought for the annual Autumn Towcester Tidy Up, organised by the Rotary Club of Towcester, which will take place over the weekend of Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October.
This can be a fun and interesting event with lots of camaraderie and friendly informal competition to see who collects the most rubbish and unusual item of rubbish.

Notification of essential maintenance works – A43 Silverstone and Whittlebury Biodiversity Project
National Highways will be carrying out biodiversity work adjacent to the to the A43 northbound at Silverstone and southbound at Whittlebury throughout September.
During this scheme, they will undertake a programme of biodiversity enhancement work involving wildflower grass cutting.

Artwork installed to recognise the heritage of Towcester's Saw Pit
On Friday 28th July, a new artwork was installed on Sawpit Green to recognise the heritage of the area.
Towcester Town Council commissioned the artwork, with the support of Towcester & District History Society, who provided the wording and image for the accompanying plaque, which states:

Antoinette Named Industrial Placement Award Winner by CECA (Southern)

Town Mayor to retrace 125-mile Boudica's Revolt in aid of charities
On Wednesday 7th June, Towcester Town Mayor, Cllr David Tarbun, will start his first fundraising challenge.
He will be walking solo, 125 miles over 5 days from Colchester, through Chelmsford, London, St Albans, Dunstable and back to Towcester on Sunday, arriving at 3pm at the top of Bury Mount.
