Smart Motorway Programme: M1 junctions 13-16

Highways England will be switching the traffic management from the central reservation to the verge between junctions 15a and 14 using a full overnight carriageway closure according to the following schedule:

Moat Lane road closure 19-28 August 2019

A new gas supply is being installed to a property in Moat Lane, Towcester. To complete this work safely will require that the road is closed from the 19th to 28th August 2019.

A plan showing the closure and diversion can be viewed here Residential traffic within the one-way system will be controlled by the Traffic Management company.

Reinforcement Gas Works

We have been made aware of essential gas works being carried out in the Towcester area. Currently work is underway in Hulcote, the A43 slip road to Hulcote is currently closed. Works will continue around Hulcote for another month. The works are going well and are on schedule.
