A5 Pedestrian Safety Assessment Report, March 2020
The attached pedestrian safety report was commissioned by Towcester Town Council to look into concerns of pedestrian safety and vehicle speeds travelling along the A5 between Jenkinson Road and the new Furlongs housing estate opposite Towcester Racecourse. Besse's Lane Temporary Closure 1-5 June
Wilby Tree Surgeons are intending on carrying out tree works along a section of Besse's Lane between Burcote Road and Earls Farm Way. To undertake these works safely will require that the road is closed from the 1st June for up to five days.

Towcester Steps Up To Combat Coronavirus
Towcester Town Council has produced an A4 leaflet which gives details of the Coronavirus helpline set up by Northamptonshire County Council for vulnerable residents and a link for volunteers to register to help, as well as current advice to reduce the spread of the virus.

Support for South Northamptonshire businesses
An online system through which businesses can apply for grants during the Coronavirus emergency, has been launched by South Northamptonshire Council (SNC).
The grant support scheme is aimed mainly at supporting small businesses which were forced to close by the UK Government.

A new support line has been launched to support the most vulnerable members of our community.
The new support line - which can be reached on 0300 126 1000 (Option 5) - allows those who cannot leave their homes under current restrictions and those who have nobody to call upon for help, to request support in getting access to food, prescriptions and other vital services that they require.
