The attached pedestrian safety report was commissioned by Towcester Town Council to look into concerns of pedestrian safety and vehicle speeds travelling along the A5 between Jenkinson Road and the new Furlongs housing estate opposite Towcester Racecourse. Wilby Tree Surgeons are intending on carrying out tree works along a section of Besse's Lane between Burcote Road and Earls Farm Way. To undertake these works safely will require that the road is closed from the 1st June for up to five days.

Towcester Town Council has produced an A4 leaflet which gives details of the Coronavirus helpline set up by Northamptonshire County Council for vulnerable residents and a link for volunteers to register to help, as well as current advice to reduce the spread of the virus.
