The Town Mayor would like your help in finding people who have given up their own time to make an outstanding
contribution to the life of TOWCESTER and who add significantly to the quality of life of those they help.
Recent Recipients
Alex Donaldson received a Certificate of Appreciation from Town Mayor, Cllr Damian Reynolds at the meeting of the Town Council on 14th October 2024.
Alex was nominated by Steve Challen, who said, “Alex has just completed his 5th aid drive to Ukraine, plus a further aid drive to Poland. Alex without a doubt is the kindest, most generous, and most selfless man I have ever met. Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Alex has shown huge commitment and generosity in making these aid drives and has significantly assisted in funding the purchase of vehicles, which were then donated to Ukraine, from his own funds. I am proud to call Alex a true friend and to make this well-deserved nomination on behalf St Lawrence Church, the Tove Benefice and the Ukraine citizens who have received the benefit of his efforts and sacrifices.”
How to Nominate Someone
If you know someone who deserves recognition for their supreme effort, strength, bravery, or achievement, please do nominate them.
For example, perhaps they’ve made their mark working with a voluntary organisation or through some other community activity, paid or unpaid. Have they achieved something particularly noteworthy within the town or enhanced the reputation of the town? Maybe they’ve made a significant contribution to the conservation or protection of the natural environment or dedicated to providing a loving and supportive family life to a child or children who do not live with their birth family. All achievements will be considered.
If this sounds like someone you know, then now’s the time to put them forward for a Mayor’s Award. Download and complete the nomination form at the bottom of this page and send it to the Town Mayor via the council's office at Towcester Town Hall. Nominations can be submitted at any time.
