Towcester Parklands Consultation

Towcester Parklands Consultation
Download ProgrammeFermor Holdings’ will be holding a public consultation event on Tuesday 30th June at The Towcester Racecourse on the emerging vision for Towcester Parklands, a parkland and leisure centred community at the Towcester Racecourse estate and land on the southern edge of the town.
The consultation event will formally start at Noon and finish at 7pm, but you are welcome to come along from 11am should you wish to meet the project team ahead of the public session. A copy of the leaflet being shared with local residents is attached for your information.
The vision is to deliver a sustainable extension to Towcester. This could provide up to 2,800 new homes, alongside employment space, leisure and tourism opportunities, and a new community parkland at the heart of the former Racecourse. The Racecourse would be restored as publicly accessible parkland for everyday walking and outdoor activity. It would also support community events and connect to the Watermeadows park. The Grandstand could include cafés, restaurants and small scale uses at ground level overlooking the parkland, and the course itself could be retained for future equine uses.
The purpose of the consultation is to give local residents and stakeholders a chance to provide their feedback and thoughts to the project team, that should shape the proposals as they develop. The consultation will close on Monday 20th July, with that also being the deadline for any feedback to be submitted to the project team.
