SNYE Youth Group Awarded with President's Cup

Another fantastic step forward for youth work in South Northants as SNYE (South Northants Youth Engagement) is awarded this year’s President’s Cup from NAYC (Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs).  The President’s Cup is an award that NAYC present to a group that most supported NAYC events, as well as taken part in their training events in the past year and have shown a significant impact on the local community.

The team at SNYE have been working hard to set up new and run existing Youth Clubs in Brackley and Towcester for young people with the support from Brackley Town Council and Towcester Town Council. SNYE currently run 5 youth clubs in South Northants for any young person to drop in:

TOWCESTER:

Tuesdays LGBTQ+ Group run by The Lowdown and SNYE: 6:30 – 8pm for school years 7 to 13 at The Mind Building in Towcester.

Wednesdays Youth Club: 5:30 – 6:30pm for 10 – 12 yr olds at the Youth & Community Centre, Towcester; followed by

Wednesdays Youth Club: 7 – 8:30pm for 13 – 16 yr olds also at the Youth & Community Centre, Towcester

BRACKLEY:

Tuesdays Youth Club: 6- 7pm for 9 – 10 yr olds at the SNYE Hub at Southfields School, Brackley

Fridays Youth Club: 7:30 – 9pm for 11 – 15 yr olds at Brackley Leisure Centre

All SNYE’s youth clubs are affiliated with NAYC. Through this, SNYE's work has been recognised and the have been awarded two commendations for their Tuesday Night Youth Club run at the SNYE Hub in Southfields in Brackley and the Wednesday Night Youth Club run at the Youth & Community Centre in Towcester and had the honour of receiving the President’s Cup 2024.

This is an amazing way to demonstrate SNYE's work and to raise awareness of the services they provide, and it will help to continue spreading the news that SNYE is working and is here to stay for the young people of South Northants!

NAYC’s President and Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, James Saunders Watson, presented this cup to members of the SNYE team at the AGM on 4^th November 2024.
