Towcester A43 Relief Road Scheme: Night-Time Road Closures Announcement

Jackson Civil Engineering Press Release:
Full Nighttime Closures on A43 for Persimmon Homes Towcester A43 Relief Road Scheme
As part of the ongoing Persimmon Homes Towcester A43 relief road scheme, there will be a series of full nighttime closures, 10pm to 6am, on the A43 to facilitate essential construction work.
Key Dates and Details:
The A43 Southbound will be fully closed during the night for 3 to 4 nights from the 30 April 2025. This closure is necessary to tie in the southbound carriageway to the existing road at our southern crossover point. This involves planing out the existing Tarmac to achieve the specified new road construction depth and alignment. We anticipate that this work will take 3 nights to complete, with Saturday, 3 May 2025, reserved as a contingency.
The A43 Southbound will be fully closed for 1 night on the 15 May 2025 and the Northbound will be fully closed for 1 night on the 16 May 2025. This closure is necessary to lift the contraflow for the Moto GP and allow 2 lanes of traffic each way.
The A43 Southbound will be fully closed for 1 night on the 27 May 2025 and the Northbound will be fully closed for 1 night on the 28 May 2025. This closure is necessary to install the contraflow ready to begin phase 3 of works.
Diversion Routes:
During the southbound closure, traffic will be diverted via the A5 to Bletchley and then onto the A421, rejoining the A4 at Towcester.
During the Northbound closure, traffic will be diverted via the A421 to Bletchley and then onto the A5, rejoining the A43 at Towcester.
These improvements are crucial for enhancing traffic flow and safety in the area, and they will connect the relief road to the A43, which will help reduce traffic through Towcester once it opens.
We regret any inconvenience that this closure may cause. For the latest information, visit Persimmon Homes’ dedicated information portal at www.resident-portal.co.uk/towcester
