The Big Conversation

The Big Conversation

Our big conversation on what is important to you.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to have your say on how West Northamptonshire Council should be helping to shape your local services, support your community and prioritise what gets done to help you live your best life.

We know you will have lots of brilliant ideas on how we make our area a place where everyone can thrive, and it's really important for you to give your views.

This big conversation will help us listen to people living and working across our area to make sure we are working on the right things.

Together we will agree what we need to improve and focus on, thinking about the future sustainability of West Northants, shaping of joined-up local services for your area and setting out what we expect from each other.

West Northamptonshire Council are holding this big conversation for three weeks and encourage everyone living and working in West Northants to join in. The conversation will be open 24/7 and is anonymous. A second big conversation will be conducted in April for council staff to also provide their views on how we can all work together to improve and prioritise the services that matter to you.

What you can expect:

Feb-March 2022
This first big conversation will be open for three weeks for everybody who works or lives in West Northamptonshire, to give you an opportunity to share what is important to you.
The conversation will close at 5pm on 21st March.

March – April 2022
We will analyse all your conversations and draw out the themes that we heard from you. We will share these with staff in a second big conversation for council colleagues to consider along with offering an opportunity for them to shape how the council is working.

May 2022 onwards
West Northamptonshire Council will consider everything that has been contributed in the big conversations to help create neighbourhood strategies, a citizens charter between the council and local residents, and set out the councils ways of working for staff.

How to take part in the big conversation

Thrive West Northants is an interactive online platform, similar to a traditional in-person workshop, but more inclusive, accessible and transparent. We can also involve more people (not just those who can fit in a physical room), allowing us to hear from people across West Northamptonshire – everyone has a voice.

To make it easier to say what you really think, this online conversation is anonymous and independently hosted.

Thrive West Northants is:

· anonymous – your name is not attached to anything you share;
· for all residents, members and staff to read, vote and comment on each other's ideas;
· available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while the conversation is live; and
· accessible from wherever you may be – on any computer, tablet or smartphone.

Register online at https://thrive.westnorthants.gov.uk

We want to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive.
