Towcester Midsummer Music Festival Returns for 2026 with Bigger Community Impact

The much-loved Towcester Midsummer Music Festival will return from 18–21 June 2026, bringing four days of live music, community celebration and fundraising to the heart of Towcester town centre.  

Now in its 24th year, the festival continues to showcase the very best of local musical talent while supporting important causes across the community. Organised by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Towcester and Towcester Town Council, the event has become a cornerstone of the town’s cultural calendar.  

A Celebration of Music and Community

Founded in 2003, and now a registered charity, the festival was created to provide a platform for young musicians, schools, community choirs, orchestras, bands and local performers. Today, it remains true to that mission - offering audiences a vibrant mix of performances across multiple venues throughout the town.  From classical and jazz to pop, rock and contemporary acts, the festival promises something for everyone, with performances staged in community spaces including the Town Hall, St Lawrence Church, Towcester Mill Brewery and other local venues, culminating with a firework finale over The Watermeadows on the Saturday night.

Supporting Local Talent and Causes

A key focus of the 2026 festival is fundraising for Towcester’s primary schools.  Recent festivals have demonstrated the event’s impact, raising thousands of pounds for local organisations and helping sustain music opportunities for young people in the area. Festival Chair, David Reed says “the festival highlights the power of the community working together to make a lasting impact on local young musical talent, with strong backing from volunteers, sponsors and local businesses.”

Powered by the Community

The festival is made possible through the dedication of volunteers and the support of local sponsors, and a wide network of businesses and organisations.  

Organisers are now calling for additional sponsors, volunteers, and creatives - particularly in marketing, photography and videography - to help make the 2026 event “bigger and bolder” than ever before.
